Read: Job 23:1-9; 16-17 Hebrews 4:12-16
Lost in Space
He felt that God is nowhere to be found!
Sabi niya sa verse 8-9 (CEV):
I cannot find God anywhere—
in front or back of me,
to my left or my right.
Undestandably. And when you seek God, God is nowhere to be found!
He still believes that:
“God is always at work, though I never see him.”
Dikit ba Kayo ni God?
Before Job lost everything he had, dikit sila ni Lord. As in close. Sabi nga sa Job 1:1: “There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless—a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.” (NLT)
Marami siyang possessions doon. And then, all of a sudden, he lost everything — mga anak niya, kayamanan niya, and even his friends!
Masaklap di ba? How about you?
Even if you don’t feel close to God this time, “God is always at work, though I never see him.”
Kailan ba tayo Lost in Space?
But wait, there’s good news!
We have a mediator that pulls us closer to God. Hebrews 4:12-16 says:
2 What God has said isn’t only alive and active! It is sharper than any double-edged sword. His word can cut through our spirits and souls and through our joints and marrow, until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts. 13 Nothing is hidden from God! He sees through everything, and we will have to tell him the truth.
14 We have a great high priest, who has gone into heaven, and he is Jesus the Son of God. That is why we must hold on to what we have said about him. 15 Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin! 16 So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness, and we will find help.
Through Jesus Christ, we can come closer to God. Kahit minsan feeling mo isnabero si God, pwede kang lumapit. Jesus made it possible for us to become new creation! We are redeemed in God’s eyes, thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Siempre, when you feel faraway from God. Yung tipong parang si Lord nasa 50th floor ng isang Condo at ikaw nasa Basement 6! You need to do something.
1. Read God’s word.
2. Claim God’s promise.
3. “Come bravely before the throne of our merciful God.”

TAGAPAGLIGTAS (Philippines Annual Conference)
Ikaw ba ngayo’y tila nangangamba
Kaya’t tinig nati’y gawing isa
