As you have probably heard, Hank Hilliard, our Director of Young People’s Ministry Development, has responded to God’s call on his life to return to the local church to become the Youth Pastor at First UMC in Franklin, Tennessee. I’m thankful for the work Hank has done over the past four years as a part of the Young People’s Ministries staff team, where he has played a key role.
As Hank transitions out of this position, we are initiating our search for a gifted person to fill this crucial role. I am asking your help in sharing the information below concerning this opening.
Job Opening: Director, Young People’s Ministry Development
Young People’s Ministries of the General Board of Discipleship is seeking an enthusiastic, creative leader to become the Director of Young People’s Ministry Development. This person leads a team of part time regional staff in developing vital ministries with youth, young adults and adult workers; is the staff leader for the quadrennial YOUTH event; and participates as a part of the Nashville staff team for Young People’s Ministries and GBOD.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated excellent leadership experience in local church ministry, supervisory experience, and the ability to innovate in a team atmosphere. Minimum education requirement is an undergraduate degree.
