Director of Youth Ministries-Shreveport

Youth Ministry Architects ( www.ymarchitects.com) has been working with Broadmoor United Methodist Church of Shreveport, Louisiana, ( www.broadmoorumc.org) to help the church establish the kind of climate and structure in which the next professional youth worker can thrive. The church is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministries who will build upon and strengthen a youth program that involves about 45 youth each week and establish an intern program.

Broadmoor UMC is a contemporary, forward-thinking church. The church has excellent resources available: a well-equipped youth ministry area, funding for continuing education, a supportive program budget, and an encouraging pastoral staff. A committed group of parents and other volunteers stand ready to help the Director of Youth Ministries in building an outstanding youth program.

Broadmoor UMC is looking for a candidate with

• a strong, personal faith in Christ,
• strong teaching and relational gifts,
• management and organizational skills,
• a college degree, and
• a minimum of four years of paid, full-time experience in youth ministry.

A successful track record of ministry in a large church setting would be an ideal qualification. Salary will be commensurate with experience and level of qualifications.
