We Are…

Spread across the western United States – with congregations among mountains, valleys, deserts, plains, and forests. Many great ministries and events take place within our jurisdiction. We have great strength coming from the diversity of our conferences in makeup and geography. Our conferences, events, and local ministries are both creating and encouraging young disciples to transform the world.

Making Better Connections -

Young People’s Ministries (YPM) rearranged their staffing model to facilitate the flow of information between church levels. The hope is that the General Board of Discipleship (GBOD) becomes a broker of the wisdom that exists among us. As this website grows, a variety of Events, Resources, and Peer-to-Peer sharing will help you form supportive ministry relationships across different levels of the UMC’s organization. We also hope to foster new and exciting connections that may not have taken place otherwise.

3)      Identify leaders in ministry with young people in your area, and guide them to this page.
4)      Email cwilterdink@gbod..org with devotions and resources you are willing to share with fellow young people’s workers.
5)      Share your bright spots and God filled moments from your ministry on Facebook, Twitter, or via email.
